I'm excited to begin the 12 Days Christmas Audio Book Giveaway!

I have 14 audiobooks produced by Dreamscapes Media who have given me a bunch of free codes to giveaway. These include all ten Rosa Reed Mysteries and the first four Higgins & Hawke Mysteries.

Today I'll be giving free codes for Murder at High Tide. Writing the first book in this series was a lot of fun. Delving into the fashion, music and pop culture of the day ~ the 50s was an exciting decade full of hope and technological advances after WW2. There were certainly social issues in the headlines, and one that is talked about in this book is polio and the iron-lung that was used to treat it. Rosa Reed in an English woman of means who had also been a lady police officer in London. Her time visiting American relatives was meant to be short, but then there's Detective Belmonte...

If you love early rock & roll, poodle skirts, clever who-dun-its, a charming cat and an even more charming detective, you're going to love this series set in the 1950s!

All you have to do to enter is to comment on what you love about the 1950s. I'll use Random. org to pick the winners. Winners will be announced on this post.
Murder at High Tide, a Rosa Reed mystery by Lee Strauss
Murder's all wet!

It's 1956 and WPC (Woman Police Constable) Rosa Reed has left her groom at the altar in London. Time spent with her American cousins in Santa Bonita, California is exactly what she needs to get back on her feet, though the last thing she expected was to get entangled in another murder case!

When a body floats onto the beach at a charity event hosted by Rosa's Aunt Louisa, Rosa's detective instincts kick in. Can she help solve the case and save her aunt's reputation? Even if it means working with her old flame, Detective Miguel Belmonte?

What do you love about the 1950s? The music? The fashion? The cars?

These stories are a good read I really enjoyed reading them

The best of the 50’s was becoming aware that we were part of great sociological change in America and our lives were not like the old TV shows ( think Father Knows Best) but we had a front row seat where we were encouraged to interact as part of the cast. We were the makers of history, for good and bad, and we are still the leading agents for change today.

Childhood memories of growing up in the 50s. Party phone lines, no seat belts and very few electronics!

I like the clothing…..dresses, gloves, and hats!

Me! I’m the best thing to happen in the fifties!
